« .1 .- The ordinary monthly meeting of the Wanganui Education Board was held on Wednesday. Present — Messrs F. Pirani (chairman), G. Carson, A. Fraser, J. H. Bennett, D. H. Guthrie, F. Purnell, J. Smith, and E. Dixon. Resignations. — The following resignations were accepted: — L. M Mahony. Queen's Park ; 0. Reischer, Tapuae; A. Small, relieving teacher; E. Ewing, Mosdtown ; J. Mclntyre, assistant, Aramoho; E. J. Patterson, Kaheke; and Henry Law, Te Roti. The following resignations of students were accepted: — J. Chapman and K. Billens, Campbell street; R. Cartwright, Glen Oroua; E. Siddells and F. M. Ross; A. Woodham, Queen's Park: R. L. C. Clayton, Aramoho; snd S. Gascoigne, Hurunni. The Chairman was authonsed to take legal advice as to the Board's position regarding Mr Aitken's application for the cancellation of the leave previously granted to him. Apiti. — Application for grant for shed referred to Building Committee. Marton. — Architect to report re proposed alteration of building. Kelvin Grove. — Giant of £1 for £1 up to £10 made for metalling. South Makirikiri.—Grant of £1 for £1 to £5 made for metalling. Railway Pass.— Resolved to apply for railway pass for Mr R. O. Jarrett, in connection with his voluntary work as instructor in breathing exercises.
