The Mutineers Naval Attack.

The Standard's St Petersburg correspondent reports that according to a telegram Schmidt opened fire with the Otcbakoff and the Eoiaz Potemkin at 3 o'clock in the after* noon on the south forts. A portion of the Black Sea squadron and * portion of the coast artillery responded. The north forts helped the mutineers and sailors in the barracks, and went into the streets and opened fire on the infantry snd a maxim company. The battle lasted for two hours and a half. The Otcbakoff was pierced and burst into flames, and the cruiser Dnieper and toother vessel and several torpedoen were sunk. The Koiaz Potemkin was badly hit, and received several holes in her sides. Schmidt wai mortally wounded and surrendered the mutinous vessels. The north forts were taken at the bayonet by the Brest and Biolystok regiments, and half the town was demolished. Admiral Wirenius asserts that no such message had been received. The editor of the Slovo asserts that he saw Chufrnin's telegram aft the Admiralty. A grave mutiny has begun at Libau. St Pktrbsbubo. Nov 80. The Union of railway men in Russia resolved to strike at the first sign of a mobilisation of the troops. The police at Grodno have strook and the Governor has dismissed them. He had applied to St Peters* burg for troops to replace them. There is frantic selling on the Bft Petersburg Bourses, and prices are the lowest yet touched.
