The warship is on an observation cruise round the world, and is commanded by H.R.H.Pnnce Lingi, better known as the Due D'Abruzzi. The usual visits of courtesy were paid to the Prince by the local authorities. Mr Thomas Russell, Acting-Consul of ItaJy at Auckland, received a telegram from the Premier extending a cordial welcome to the Prince, the officers and crew, and hopedttheir < stay would be a pleasant one. ■ A number of officers will visit the Hot Lakes district.
