Stock Market.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report: — We held a clearing sale of dairy cows on the farm of Mr C. H. WadeCooper, near Rewa, on Tuesday, the 3rd inst. A line of spring calvers, 42 in number, averaged £6 2s 6d. At the Feilding sale on Friday, Gth inst., we had a very large yarding of both cattle and sheep, more particularly the latter. Good lambs and wethers sold well, but ewes in lambs were hard to quit. Cattle fully maintained recent values, especially dairy stock. At the Apiti sale on Monday, 9th inst., a full yarding of stock came forward, in fact it was the largest winter sale we have had the pleasure of holding. Nearly all the stock was quitted fully up to recent prices. Quotations : — Feilding.— A line of 17 spring calvers, sold on account of Mr C. Kobertstein, realised £7 10s ; others, £4 10s, £4 11s, £5 13s, £6, £G ss; fat cows (not good), £4 17s, £5, £5 Is, £5 11s ; heifers in calf, £3 8s 6d, £4 11s; weaners (poor), 10s, 17s 6d; yearlings, 32s to £2 Is ; wethers, fat and forward 4-th, 10s 9d, 11s 3d; wethers (store), 5s Bd, 6s 6d, 8s sd, 8s 9d, 9s ; fat ewes, 10s 10d ; forward ewes, 6s 9d, 7s 6d, 8s 9d, 9s 3d; cull ewes, 2s 3d, 2s 7d, 3s 6d ; 2th ewes (empty) 8s 9d ; lambs, 2s, 3s 3d, 3s 9d, 4s, 5s Id, 5s Gd.
