RANGITIKEI RUGBY UNION.

> A meeting of the Rangitikei Rugby Union was held on Saturday at Marton. There were sixteen delegates present, and Mr L. Cohen occupied the chair. Messrs Morgan and A. Way represented the Feilding Football Club. The Bulls, Rata, and Utiku Clubs were admitted to the Union, and the applications of the Palmerston and Institute Clubs were dealt with. The Feilding and Marton delegates spoke in favour of admitting the two clubs, but the northern representatives were adverse. The voting was 7 for and 11 against. The country representatives contended that the ground covered by the Union would be too extensive, and the clubs would have to travel too far. But against this the Palmerston delegates had agreed to play, in certan instances at Marton, and thus meet the northern clubs half way.
