Wedding Bells.
A quiet wedding was celebrated at St Michael's Church, Stanway, yesterday afternoon, the contracting parties being Mr John Dillon Hockiup, of Halcombe, a son of the Rev. John Hocking Hocking, in England, and Miss Annie Helen, second daughter of Mr J. H. Fry, " PuDgaiwi, " Makino. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev A. S. Innes Jones in the presence of a number of friends of the parties. The bride, who looked very pretty in a dress of white satin trimmed with chiffon and honiton lace, with the orthodox veil and orange blossoms, was attended by her sister Miss May Fry as bridesmaid. The latter was attired in a dress of white muslin over pink. Mr R. O. French acted as groomsman. The bride carried a very handsome bouquet, which was obtained from Messrs Gibbons and Son, florists, of Wellington, as also were the other floral decorations. As the happy couple left the church the pathway was strewn with flowers. A few of the immediate friends of the family were entertained at an " at home " at "Pnngaiwi " after the ceremony. In the evening Mr and Mrs Hocking left on a honeymoon tour for Wanganui, the bride wearing a London made travelling dress of a shade of heliotrope, carrying with them good wishes of there numerous friends for their future welfare.
