Paris, December 6. Admiral Dumonfc, who some months ago, while deploring the naval superiority of Great Britian, urged France to institute an implacable system of privateering, now declared that the French Navy is "ready to bring any Alnbamas against England" — his reference b^ing to the famous Confederate cruiser, which before being destroyed near Havre inflicted bo much damage to American shipping.
