ADVANCE IN PRICES. Telegraph. Press Association. Copyright London, November 29. Messrs Jacomb, Buxton, and Balme's joint catalogue comprised 10,270 bales of an excellent new clip of wools. There was a large attendance, and an extremely active competition among Home and Continental buyers. Merinos and fine crossbreds advanced 10 to 15 per cent., combings rising the most. Medium lower crossbreds rose 15 to 20 per cent., and were keenly competed for by the Home trade. A few lots were taken by Americans. Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co. have received the following wool market cablegram from their London house, Messrs Sanderson, Murray and Co., dated 28th November : — Sales have opened. Competition brisk. Market advanced 15 per cent.
