There was perfect weather and an attendance of about 3000. The following are the results of the principal events : — 100 Yards Flat— Watson 1, Gilmour (Taranaki) 2, Wayson 3. Time, 10 2-sth seconds. Half Mile Flat— Mayson 1, Anderson 2, Gilmour 3. Time, lmin 58 2-sth sees. Long Jump —Brownlee (Dunedin), 20ft 2in, 1; Stych, 19ft £in, 2; Madill, 19ffc, 3. Two Mile Alliance Bicycle Championship of New Zealand -H. H. Brook 1, H A. Coates 2, C. Hennings, 3. Time, smin 37 4 sth sees.
