The Koyai Niger Company's Expedition, comprising five hundred Houssas from the Gold coast, thirty officers, six maxim guns, and nine hundred native carriers, together with an effective fleet of light draught steamers, which can readily be converted into gunboats, started from Akassa, the head quarters of the Niger Company on the 6th inst. Owing to the extremely unhealthy nature of the .climate a number of medical men accompany tfce expedition. The object is to punish Ab'ubo_:_-*i, the powerful King of Nupe State, in Ca'ntrw Soudan Tbe force is uuder the command of Major : A. J. Arnold, and his officers have been elected from the various British regiments,
