Frozen Meat Trade
An English paper says : Mr E. Montagu Nelson, managing director of Nessrs Nelson Bros., Limited, London, the largest importers of Australian and New Zealand meat to this country, accoinpan* ied by Mr Graham Horns, of the firm of Sir Fredrick Bramwoll and Harn>>, engineers, of Great George Street West minster, has been engaged with Mr Leader Williams and other officials of the Ship Canal Company, in arranging for a wharf which is about 10 be put up by agreement with the Canal (,'ompanr at a point near the Mod© Wheel Locks for the reception of direct imports of frozen moat to Manchester. Tbe importance this firm attaches to Manchester 83 a distributing centre is exhibited by their intention to make provision at tbe Mode Wheel stores now about to be erected for 100,000 carcases of frozen mutton.
