w The first round of the Gentlemen' Handicap Singles Tournament of the Feilding Lawn Tennis Club resulted as follows : — Barton (scratch) beat Hadow (15), 100—87 ; Lance (7) beat Strachan (28), 100—92 ; Coote (10) beat Richmond (25), 100—83 ; Dyer (5) beat French (15), 100—76; Scale (45), a bye. Second round to play : — Barton (scratch) plays Dyer (5) ; Coote (10) plays Scale (45) ; I^ance, a bye. Entries are being received by the treasurer for mixed doubles (handicap), partners to be drawn by ballot. On Saturday next the Feilding Club plays Palmerstsn, on the Feilding Lawn commencing at 1.30 p.m. ; two ladies and four gentlemen on each side.
