Wool Markets

Wanganui, December 12. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company submitted close upon 1000 bales of wool at their inaugural sale to-day. Owing to the date clashing with the Dunedin and Auckland sales, Southern buyers were unable to attend as arranged. The bulk of wool was witfv drawn, although 200 bales were sold at and immediately after the sale at prices ranging up to 4f d for pieces, 7Jd for Lincolns, and 9d for half-bred. Washed crossbreds went up to 9Jd. Hogan and Co. hold their first Bale of the season tomorrow. Chribtchtthch. December 12. Six thousand bales will be offered at-the third series of the Christchurch wool sales which take place on December 18th and 19th.
