♦ On the County ground last Saturday the cricket match, Halcombe v. Oroua County, was played in splendid weather. Owing tp the limited space of time the match could not be concluded, and therefore victory was decided ou the first , innings, which was gained by Halcombe with a total of 84, against the County's 72 — -not a very descreditable beating.
