The Parliamentary Committee of the Trades Congress support the eight hours system for miners only, as they fear that the Bill providing for eight hours generally would destroy the Labour Unions. Mr,T. Burt, M.P. one of the Committee, insists that the adoption of eight hours, even for miners, will render half the miners in the North idle. In the ritualistic charge preferred against the Bishop of Lincoln, the Archbishop of Canterbury has decided that the Bishop committed no- illegal act iin mixing water with the sacramental wine used in the Holy Communion, and the rinsing the paten and chalice and drinking the ablution^, or by adopting the eastward position at the anti-communion office, but he condemned the action of the Bishop in standing in such a position during the prayer of consecration as to hide the manual, acts, and also of making the sign of the cross over the people pronouncing the benediction.
