Chhistchuech, January 7. Kaye and Carter report the Christchurch grain and produce market as follows : — Wheat : Tuscan, 4/4 ; pearl, 4/3; hunters, 4/2. Oats: Milling, 3/8 ; bright short, 3/6. Barley: Prime malting, 4/6 ; feed, 2/9. Flour : Eoller, £12; stone, £11. Oatmeal in 251 b bags, £19 ; 71bs, £21. Eyegrass : Machine dressed, 8/6 ; medium, 3£d ; seconds, Id. Oatsheaf chaff, £5. Hay, baled, £4 17/6. Butter, lOd. Cheese : Loaf, 6£d ; medium, 6d (scarce). Hams, 9d ; bacon, 7£d ; hams and bacon, B£d. The above prices are all f.o.b. Lyttelton, sacks and packages extra, except when otherwise specified.
