In the Legislative Assembly this evening a motion for an address to the Queen, praying that Her Majesty would cause to be submitted to the Imperial Parliament a measure providing for the constitution of a Federal Council for the Austra ian colonies, was carried unanimously. July 10. In the Legislative Council lnst night the resolutions of the Syduoy Convention were, after a brief debate, adopted unanimously. Sydney. July 9. Sir "William Jervois arrived here toiay. July 10. Arrived, yesterday, Wakatipu. An anti federation motion was under iiscussion in the Legislative Council last aight. The Hon W. B. Dnlley made a sne speech in opposition to the motion, ind warmly supported annexation. Hobaet, This Day. The Legislative Assembly passed a resolution in favor of the \ ustmla.=ian Federation. A Ministerial Bill has been ntroduced into the Assembly providing "or the reform of the Parliamentary franchise of this colony.
