Reform Association
The Timaru Political Eeform Association at its last meeting put forth the following list of its objects : — 1. That the Association shall use every constitutional means t* improve the political, municipal, and other public institu tions. 2. That the Association shall be a medium for the .diffusioß of political education, for which purpose papers may be read and discussion invited. 3. To review tlie statues now in existence, with a view of obtaining their amendment or repeal when adversely affecting the interests of the people. 4 To watch over nd examine objects and probable effects of new Bills introduced, into Parliament. 6. To secure the full and just representation of the working classes in Parliament. 6. To secure the enrolment on the electoral roll of every duly qualified member of the commanitj. To reduce the expenses and simplify the the mode of elections. 8. To lest the fitflSss of the candidates for Parliament, and to support the one pledged to the principle* of our Association. 9. To prevent class legislation, and to watch over and protect equally the rights of all. ____
