Manchester Road Board

Tlio usual monthly mooting of the Board was held at its office, Manchester street, ou Saturday afternoon. Present — Messrs Macarthur (chairman) Linton, Lethbridge, and Cotter. The minutes of the previous monthly meeting wero read and confirmed. The following correspondence was also read : — Mr J. Phillips, calling the attention of the Board to the state of No. 6 Line, and requesting that a sum of money be granted forming part of it ; Mr J. J. Williamson, requesting the Board to spend £90 on Wilson's Lino the Kiwitea Road Board to spend the same amount ; Mr J. T. Bray, requesting that Mr E. Loudon bo allowed to withdraw his name ax Burcty, and that Mr E. Gichard be accepted instead ; Surveyor General, re road to section No. 4, subdivision B. The following resolutions wero passed : — That Mr J. T. Baay's request be granted. That the Clerk write to Mr Phillips, and inform him that there are no funds available at present for doing any work on No. 6 Lino. That Mr Williamson's request be granted, and that tho Engineer bo in atructed to call tenders for next meeting. That tho Hoard will form tho Itangi-tnn-a Road front tho ond of tho niolal to Mr Linton '» gate, if Mr Linton agrees to metal it. Accounts amounting £1850 12 a 3d wero paxsod for payment. Tho Board then mljournod.
