A REJOINDER.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Will you kindl- allow me space tb'nugh the columns of your paper, to reply to Henry Rutherford. I presume to say his remarks in last Saturday's issue of your paper, was the act of a pusillanimous man, to publicly state Constable Price winks at the actions of his tenants. I have known Constable Price more years than Mr Rutherford has known him months. I can state without fear of conradiction that Constable Price will do his duty to friend or foe, tenant or no tenant, without tho slightest partiality, favor, or affection. But I suppose our great and noble city 1 father is rather cut across the fingers | because Constable Price did not wink at his orses, for which he had to pay the small amount of five shillings for allowing them to wander and live on the cheap on other people's property. I should think lie ought to have been fined not less than five pounds, he being a great and noble representative. —l am, etc., duly 3, 1882. J. H. Blackmobk.
