THE AUSTRALIAN CRICKETERS IN ENGLAND.

♦ (BY TKLhGRAPH.) London, June 21. The match at Sheffield between the Australians and eleren of Yorkshire was conclu ed to-day. The yisitors, who at the close of yesterday's play had put together 25 runs for the loss of no wickets, resumed the batting, and succeeded in making the required number of runs, 99, for four wickets only, thus winning the match by six winkets. The principal scorers were — Mrfssie, caught, 44 ; and Bannerman, caught 36. Lateb. The Australian cricketers commenced their match against the Gentlemen of England on Kensington Oral to-day. The attendance of spectators was large. The following are the names of the gentlemen : — Messrs A. G. Studd C S Sludd, G. B. Studd, C. P. H. Leslie, W. H. Patterson, W. G. Grace, A. W. Hornby, A. P. Lucas, W. W< Read, E. T. S. Tylecott, and Ramsay. The Australians went in first on a capatil wicket. Despite the excelleut fielding of the Englishmen, 162 runs were obtained for the loss of only four wickets. The following are the individual scores :— Massie, caught 32 ; Bannerman, caught, 50 ; Mur loch, caught 57 ; McDonnell, caught, L 9 ; Griffen, not out, 31. Murdoch was in excellent form, and his his batting was much admired.
