MEMORANDA.
George Key, Tinsmith, of Palmerstdn North, has filed a declaration of insolvency. Several business cards, from Messrs Warburton, Hankins, and Perkins, of Palme: ston, will be found elsewhere. Several hotel announcements from Wanganui, Palmerston, and Feilding appear in another column. On Tuesday 27th June, Messrs Stevens and Gorton will hold a sale of cattle, sheep, etc., at the Denbigh Sale Yards, Feilding, at 1 o'clock. Mr James Laird, seedsman, Taupo Quay, Wanganui, is offering the whole of his stock of trees, seeds, etc., at reduced prices. Mr K. J. Cottrell, Manchester-street, is selling the whole of his stock at wholesale prices. On reference to his advertisement it will be seen that souue good bargains are be had from him. McDowell, "Bros; of the Cash . Warehouse, Palmerston, are at present showing a special line of goods, suitable for the winter season, at exceptionally low prices. Attention is drawn to an advertisement from the Public Works Office, Hawera, calling for tenders for the supply and delivery of 10,000 sleepers. Tenders close at noon on Tuesday, July 11th. Mr R. Loudon, the well-known draper and clothier advertises in another column some exceptional bargains in men's youth's, and boys' clothing. He also offers bargains in millinery and ladies' costumes. Mr H. W. Haybittle, watchmaker, of Palmerston, advertises that he is prepared to execute all lines entrusted to him. Orders left at Mr Haybittle's Ueady Money Store, Feilding, will be punctually attended to. Tenders are invited by the County Council up to Tuesday, July 4. for buildthree bridges and culvets on the Kirn* bolton road, and other works in the district. Tenders must be addressed to the Chairman of the County Council. Messrs Gillet, Bros, the well-known wine and spirit merchants, of Palmerston, advertise the receipt of a consignment of the finest Highland malt whisky — brand " Argyle and the. Isles." This whisky was highly recommended at the Christchurch Exhibition, and accorded Ist and 2nd awards in the order of merit. Our Good Templar friends will be glad to hear that Mr Deard, ginger- beer and cordial manufacturer, of Palmerston, has now got his business operations in full swing, and is prepared to execute orders to any part ot the district. Orders by post, train, or wire punctually attended to. ___
