FIXTURE AT GLENMURRAY NICELY VARIED PROGRAMME CATERING FOB THE CHILDREN

The Glenmurray Sports Club held ils annual Mxlure in Wing Commander K. L. Cahiwell's paddock. Glenmurray, on Saturday, in I lie presence of about 000 spectators. Very encouraging entries were received, which would have been augmented but for the fact that a transport carrying a number of horses from Te Akau districts mel with a slight accident on ils journey. It eventually arrived at Glenmurray hut the owners of Ihe horses decided not lo compete with fhein owing lo the I’acl that the animals had received a severe shaking. New events, children's riding eompelilions. were included in a nicely varied programme. These were introduced lo foster a P ve of horsemanship on the pari of Ihe young folk.
