Anzac Day—Train Arrangements. The Railways Department advertises ii. Ihis issue particulars ol‘ train arrangements on Anzac Day, April. 25. R.S.A. Dance. The Pukekohe branch of the R.S.A. will hold another dance in the Oddfellows’ hail, Pukekohe, . tomorrow night. Details are advertised. Rainfall For The Week. The Palumahoe school reports that during the week ending 9 a.in. yesterday 1.06 inches of rain had fallen in the district. Holiday Notice. Anzac Day will he observed as a close holiday in all branches of the Pukekohe Post Oflice with the exception of the tele-phone exchange wherein the attendance will be continuous as usual. Cablegram to Members of N.Z.E.F. The Postmaster at Pukekohe, Mr G. R 0. Mulholland, advises: Commencing, forthwith the addresses on cablegrams to members of the N.Z.E.F. are to be charged for as four words irrespective of the number of words contained therein, plus one word for the indicators “L.C.” or “D.L.T.” if these rates apply. St. John Ambulance Baby Contest. Following are the respective positions of the six leading competitors in the above contest: Ist, No. 14; 2nd, No. 03; 3rd, No. 18; 4th, No, 3; sth, No. 100; 6th, No. 79. All interested are advised (by advertisement in this issue) that next week’s screening will be on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and that positively no votes will be accepted after Wednesday night, April 24.
