A Wedding of Interest to Pukekohe
EASTER MONDAY SERVICE FAUSETT—GILBERT BRIDE WEARS ERE AM SATIN A wedding of interest to Pukekohe residents was solemnised on Easter Monday at St. Mark’s, Remuera, by the Rev. P. Houghton, between Norma Claire, only daughter of Mr and Mrs Norman Gilbert, Napier Road, Woodville, and Nelson Arras, second son of Mr and Mrs D. Fausett, Queen Street, Pukekohe. The bride, who entered the church on the - arm of her father, wore a charming frock of cream satin cut on princess lines, fastened at the neckline with a cameo brooch and ending in a short train embroidered with padded satin flowers. The veil, lent by a friend, was embroidered tulle and fastened at the head with a coronet of orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet of white asters, dahlias,and cream rosebuds. The bridesmaid, Miss Phyllis Short, cousin of the bride, wore a frock of pale blue , spotted net cut with full skirt and fitting bodice. She - wore a cream picture hat and carried a bouquet. of pink, asters, dahlias and blue larkspur.
The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr Graham Fausett, as best man.
,Near/relatives and close friends of the bride and bridegroom were afterwards entertained at the residence of Dr. and Mr L. G. Short, Remuera, uncle and aunt of the bride. The guests were received by Mrs Gilbert, wearing an afternoon frock of. lilac marocain with matching hat and a fur necklet, and carrying a posy of dahlias and autumn leaves. Mrs Gilbert was assisted by Mrs Short who wore a frock of rose silk wilh fur necklet and hat lo tone.
Mi's Fausett wore a navy costume with navy and white accessories and carried an autumn tinted posy.
The bridal couple left for the south the bride wearing a smartly tailored, navy costume and navy accessories.
