PAERATA NEWS

* FAREWELL EVENING SOLDIER ENTERTAINED A dance was held in the Paerata hall on Saturday evening last in honour of Private A. Cochrane. On behalf of the residents Mr J. McLeod presented Private Cochrane with a Rolls razor. Private Cochrane suitably replied. Music was provided by Mr S. Edwards’ orchestra and Mr G. Caddy was master of ceremonies. Supper provided by the ladies was dispensed by the social sub-committee of the patriotic committee. A Monte Carlo dance was won by Miss G. King and partner.
