RUGBY FOOTBALL

THE TUAKAU CLUB ANNUAL MEETING HELD JUNIOR TEAM TO PLAY The president, .Mr F. 0. Bagnall, presided over a fair attendance at the annual meeting of the Tuakau Rugby Football Club last week. In his report the president said that the past season had been most successful and some excellent football had been played. He said that it was gratifying to have had several players chosen for the Mangatawhiri representatives.

The balance sheet showed a credit of £22 ss, an increase of £lO 6s on that of last year. This was considered most satisfactory. It w'as decided to enter a junior team in the Mangatawhiri Union’s competition but owing to present-day conditions it was not certain that a senior team would be entered. A practice was arranged for Saturday next. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr W. A. Smeed; president, Mr Eric Fulton; vice-presidents, Messrs W. J. Saunderson, F. C. Bagnall and Walter Barnaby; secretary, Mr W. Jameson; club captain, Mr K. Barnaby; committee, Messrs W. Barnaby, O. Cooney, J. Allen, F. Pollard, P. Kewish; delegates to Mangatawhiri sub-union, Messrs Win. Barnaby and O. Cooney; selector and coach, Mr Wm. Barnaby; auditor, Mr M. R. D. McGahan; delegate to recreation club. Mr Walter Barnaby; vice-president, Mangatawhiri sub-union, Mr Walter Barnaby.

THE PATUMAHOE CLUB TEAMS FOR SATURDAY P'atumahoe Rugby teams for Saturday are:— Seniors: N. Clark, W. McLean, R. Brady, G. McClune, L. Sheppard, K, Clark, R. Hunter, H. Garter, F. Urquhart, B. The annual meeting of South Auckland Rugby Union will be held in the Masonic Hall tonight.
