SCHEME OPPOSED TUAKAU COMM ITT E E’S ATT IT IT) C A scheme for the insurance of ; chool children on their way to school dental clinics, or organised school sports in private motor cars, is being strongly opposed by the Tuakau school committee. The objection to the proposal was made on the grounds that such outings were part of the school curriculum and the responsibility for insurance rested with the Department and not with Ihe committee. It was decided to refer Ihe matter H the school committees’ association with a request that it lie taken up with Hie Department.
