„ MANUKAU SUB-UNION MEETING AT PAPAKURA ■SEASON’S PROSPECTS BRIGHT Some 40 delegate# and supporters attended the annual tweeting of the Manukau Rugby Sulir-UUion last Friday evening at Papakura, the president, Mr G. C. Howie, presiding. In welcoming the delegates Mr Howie expressed the hope that the season would he both enjoyable and successful.

ed, likewise the financial statement which showed a small loss on the year’s working.
The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr W. T. Ruder (Clevedon) : president, Mr 11. W. Gibbs (Manurewa) : vice-presidents. Messrs John Luke (Clevedon), G. G. Howie (Kar-
| aka), J. Appleby (Drury), G. Mitj obeli (Manurewa) and L. Smeed I (Papakura). The Kingseal club is to be invited to nominate one from Iha I institution: secretary, Mr S.
