PRESBYTERIANS WIN METHODISTS WELL BEATEN On Saturday the A and B teams of the Papakura Presbyterians and Methodists played matches on their respective courts, the Presbyterians in the A grade had a comfortable win of eight rubbers to four, and 96 games to 68, while in the B grade they had a big victory by 10 rubbers to two. Details of the A grade match are as follows, Presbyterian names taking precedence: — Ladies’ doubles: Mrs W. Rankin and Miss I. Beggs beat Miss E. Civil and Miss F. Bycroft. 9 —6: Miss P. McCall and Mrs A. L. Cooper beat Misses L. Bycroft and A. Evans, 9 —2: Miss W. Ennion and Mrs D. McLennan beat Misses A. Evans and D. Milliken. 9—l. Men’s doubles: B. Malcolm and E. Beggs beat M. Kemp and G. Buchan. 9 8; A. L. Cooper and W. Rankin lost to G. Butchan and FI. Bass, 6 —9; W. Kidd. senr. and Perkins lost to 0. Laing and R. Thompson, 4 —9. Combined doubles: Mrs W. Rankin and B. Malcolm beat Miss E. Civil and M. Kemp. 9 —B: Miss I. Beggs and E. Beggs beat Miss F. Bycroft and G. Buchan. 9 —6; Miss P. McCall and A. L. Cooper beat Miss L. Bycroft and 11. Bass. 9 —2 : Mrs A. L.
