THE PUKEKOHE BRANCH. MONTHLY MEETING REMITS FOR CONFERENCE The monthly meeting of the Pukekohe branch of the New Zealand Labour Party took place on Saturday. Mr A. Best presided over a good attendance. < It was decided to form L - a' ladies’ auxiliary committee to meet" early in the New Year when some outstanding speakers will be invited to give addi esses upon matters pertaining "' to social welfare. A large number of'remits'wbre'passed by the meeting to go before the annual conference. These- ranged over a wide field and gaVe - rise'to-keen discussion, and included the defence question. . •- t ~ It was decided to have the next meeting of the Workers’ Educational group early in December.
