PAPAKURA BULL SALE
200 ANIMALS OFFERED Upwards of 200 pedigree and grade hulls w'ere penned at the second sale this season at the Papakura yards. Prices were on a par with recent sales. Any animals showing quality and in gcod condition were keenly sought after. A number, however, were not in good condilion and showed signs of having come through a hard winter. With the exception of two or three outstanding hulls, there was no advance on lasi year’s prices. The sale was conducted by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited. There was a large attendance of district farmers, who favoured Jersey and Shorthorn hulls: Fricsians were nol so keenly competed for. hiiolations are:— Two-year-old pedigree Jersey bulls to ITgns.: grades. 2-yera-ohl, .12 gns.: yearlings to Ilf gns.: grade yearlings. 10 gns.: Iwo-year-old grade Shorthorns lo £l4: yearlings lo £l3 15s; grown pedigree Friesians with good 1 »utterfat backing made Ifigns: others •4 In hens.
