ANNUAL TEAMS' MATCH

CAPTAIN BEATS PRESIDENT

The Pukekohe Club’s annual match between teams selected by the president and captain was played on Saturday in ideal weather. The captain’s team won by 11 games to 10. Details are as follows, members of the president’s team being mentioned first in each case:—

THE ONEWHERO CLUB Playing in the semi-finals for the Onewhero Club’s senior championship, Caldwell beat Sturrock, 4 and 2, and Martin heat Cronin, 1 up. A flag match also played was won by C. Gaskell, who carried the flag to the 19th hole. J. Parson, who reached the 19th green, was runner-up. WAIUKU CHAMPIONSHIPS Play for the Waiuku Golf Club’s championships resulted as follows: — Seniors. —G. Howden heat Hughes, 4 and 3; D. Hawke won from Hill by default; P. Howden heat Ohlson, 2 up; Bloomfield heat North, 8 and 7. Intermediates. —Julius heat Graham, 4 and 3; Forbes heat A.
