WEEK-END ACCIDENTS
TWO NEAR PUKEKOHE NO ONE INJURED Two motor accidents occurred in Pukekohe on Saturday evening. While proceeding to Pukekohe, a car owned by Air S. D. Rice of Papakura, and driven lay Air AA’ishart, hit the bridge j in the vicinity of Whyte’s bacon shop on the Paerata road. The driver, it j is understood, was endeavouring to avoid another motorist. No one was injured but die left side of die car was cleaved off. Failing to take the corner, a motorcar driven by Air R. AlcDonald of Auckland, and proceeding north, crashed over the bank in the vicinity of , Hickey’s dam. The car, which was recovered by Cooper and Curd’s break- j down service yesterday afternoon, was extensively damaged but the driver was fortunate in escaping with a shaking.
