PERSONAL.

Dr. E. B. Gunson of Auckland, was a visitor to Papakura this week.

Mrs F. Knight of Papakura, paid a -visit to Whangarei during the weekend.

Mr C. Spencer is making good progress after his operation for appendicitis.

Mrs A. L. Turner was elected president of the Papakura Croquet Club on Wednesday, in place of Mrs F. J. Lound who has resigned the office, as she is going to reside in Auckland.

Mr A. G. Stephenson of the firm of Stephenson and Meldrum. architects, Melbourne, paid a visit to Papakura at the beginning of the week and expressed admiration for the architectural line of Christ Church.
