LAWN TENNIS.

THE POKENO CLUB. COURTS OFFICIALLY OPENED. The Pokeno Tennis Club held its official opening on Saturday afternoon. Due to the threatening weather in the morning there were not as many visitors as usual. The president. Mr R. Woodcock, called on Mrs Woodcock to play the first ball over the net. and then declared the courts open for the. season. A very pleasant afternoon was spent.
