Franklin Golden Jubilee Show.

FEBRUARY 15 AND 16. ONLY TEN DAYS DISTANT. ENTRIES CLOSE WEDNESDAY. Prospective exhibitors at the Franklin Agricultural and Pastoral Society’s golden jubilee show, which is to be held at Pukekohe on February 15 and 10, are reminded that entries close on Wednesday next, February 6. The date for the closing of entries was extended from January 31. Glasses have been provided for horses, cattle, sheep, pigs, wool, and in addition there are to be the usual hunting events, together with trotting races. In the hall division will be exhibited farm and garden produce, home industries, needlework, fruit, flowers, -lloral artistry, and school work. There are also two competitions for district courts.

Many prominent breeders have intimated that they will be exhibiting, but it is feared that the condition of the animals will not be so good as in former years, due to the prolonged spell of dry weather experienced in the province.

The effect of the'weather will also be reflected in the farm and garden produce, and flower sections. Residents who have produce at all suitable for showing are urged to forward their entries, and so help to maintain the reputation of “the garden of the Auckland province.”
