A Pretty Wedding at Waerenga Church.

BRIDE IN IVORY FROCK

. A pretty wedding took place at the Waerenga memorial church recently when Emily May, only daughter of Mr and Mrs E. Carter of Waerenga, and formerly of Buckland, was married to Albert Edward Roper, eldest son of Mrs Stayte of Te Kauwhata, and the late Mr A. Roper of Gloucestershire. The bride, who w ; as given away by her father, wore a graceful frock of ivory windswept crepe, with insets of lace, a long tulle veil and a circlet of orange blossom and carried a sheaf of tiny arum lilies.

The bride was attended by Miss Olive Woods, who wore turquoise blue crepe with a blue tulle head-dress to match. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations. Mr James Carter acted as best man.

After the ceremony the guests were entertained at Miss Waterhouse’s tearooms, the bride’s mother receiving the guests in a navy marocain frock and wide navy hat and carried a bouquet of scarlet roses. Mrs Stayte wore black and white crepe de chnie and her bouquet was of blue and scarlet verbenas.

The happy couple, who intend making their home in Te Kauwhata, later left bv car on their honeymoon.
