Bride Wears Frock of Ivory Georgette.
WEEK-END WEDDING. BRANCH—ROGERS. CEREMONY AT METHODIST GIIURGH A pretly wedding ceremony was celebrated al Ihe Methodist church, Pukekohe, on Saturday, when Evelyn, youngest daughter of Mr J. Rogers, Helvetia, Pukekohe, and the late Mrs Rogers, and Raymond, youngest son of Mrs S. Branch, of Thames, and the late Mr Branch, were united in tlie bonds of matrimony. The officiating minister was the Rev. J. 11. Bailey, and Mrs Curnow played the wedding
music. The church had been nicely decorated by friends and relatives of the bride, with white dowers. Entering the church on the arm of her father, the bride wore a graceful long sleeved frock of ivory georgette and Chantilly lace. Her lovely veil, which formed a train, w'as Held in place with sprays of orange blossom and she carried a sheaf of white dahlias. In attendance as bridesmaid was Miss Amy Branch, sister of the bridegroom. Her ankle-length frock of apple green tulle and ribbons was trimmed with many small frills and she wore a d'oyley cap to tone with her frock and carried a sheaf of pink carnations. Lola Wilks, niece of' the bride, and Valma Reid, niece of the bridegroom, made pretty little flow'er girls in their long frilled frocks of apple green satin beaute w'ith their d’oyley caps of lace and tulle, and they carried posies of pale pink carnations and rosebuds. Air D. Branch ably carried out the duties of best man.
The reception W'as held at the “Dainties” tea rooms, which had been artistically decorated with white and pale pink dahlias. Airs Wilks, sister of the bride, and Airs Branch, the bridegroom’s mother, received the guests, the former in a frock of brown crepe de chine, and the latter wearing a grey lace and tulle frock. They carried bouquets of ,v> autumn-tinted flowers.
After full justice had been done to the good things provided and the usual toasts honoured, the happy couple left by car on a tour of the north, the bride wearing a smart ensemble suit of moss green wool georgette with grey trimmings and grey hat. AH and Airs Branch will reside at Helvetia, Pukekohe.
