White Butterflies’ Enemy

Another enemy of the while bultcr--11 y lias been discovered, reports the Hannevirke Evening News. Recently Mr and Mrs T. Fothergill, residents of Makotuku, noticed that the butterflies were being attacked and killed by a dragon fly. It may not be generally known that the dragon fly, both as larvae and as adults, are exceedingly voracious, feeding chiefly upon other insects. A Makotuku resident has a black cat which is very fond of waiting amongst the cabbages and destroys during the day quite a large number of butlerflies.
