Methodist Church Rally. A party of young women from the Methodist church, Papakura, attended the big rally at Pitt Street Methodist church, Auckland, on Sunday. : Success in Art Unions. i ■ The Richardson Bros., of Papakura, have recently been successful in art unions. Mr Wm. Richardson secured valuable prizes in the Blind Institute art union. Mr Jim Richardson (the Papakura Fire Brigade superintendent'! . won a £T> prize in the "Lucky Chance" : art union 'last week. A First Offender. A first offender for drunkenness was convicted and ordered "to pay medical - expenses, 16s 6d, at the Papakura 1 Police Court before F. T. Snell, J.P., t on Monday. F. members all enjoy el the dance which was arranged for after the usual lodge business had been put through on Monday evening. Miss Lily Grant again obliged with some excellent dance music. Social games were also played, which included carpet bowls. ' Concert Party's Tour Ends. I I The Papakura "Married Ladies" conI cert party concluded their touring of the district last evening when they ' gave a concert at Pukekohe East. The parly has also visited Devonport and Patumahoe, and it has aiso received in- '. vitations from other places but these : have had to be declined.
