AKA AKA NOTES.
CHILDREN'S FANCY DRESS BALL. The children's fancy dress dance held at Aka Aka on Friday last, and which was arranged by the Aka Aka school in aid of the dental clinic funds was an unqualified success from every point of view. Nearly £lO was realised. The thanks of the promoters are due to the ladies' committee which arranged the hall decorations and had charge of the supper arrangements; to Hhe parents for their support of the scheme and for providing a biulliant array of fancy costumes; to Miss Edna Kitson and Mr Ernest Kitson, who supplied the dance music and assisted at the rehearsals-; to Miss Porter, assistant mistress, for providing dance music and the training of the junior children and to Miss Grichton for solo dancing, American tap dancing and sword dance.
Extras were played by Miss Crichton and Mr W. Kitson.
The children's programme was under the direction of Miss Porter and Mr H. A. Moffitt, to whom the greatest credit is due. The young folk thoroughly enjoyed themselves and their dancing gave considerable enjoyment to adults who commented on their finished performance. .
