PLUNKET SOCIETY.
THE TUAKAU SUB-BRANCH. MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE. A meeting of the Tuakau Plunket committee was held in the Plunket room last week, when the following were present: Mesdames D. Fulton (in the chair). Lewis, Burnett, Durrant, Leaman, Pyatt, Reveli, Bush, Jones, Boyd, R. Ewing and Goodwin. Mrs Rush worth was elected to the committee. A letter from Mr W. J. Taylor consenting to he the patron of the subbranch and enclosing a donation of one guinea, was read. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr Taylor for his donation. Accounts amounting to 13s were passed for payment. It was decided to hold a social afternoon in the Memorial hall on Tuesday, May 31. Mothers are to he specially invited. The secretary was asked to write to the Tuakau Women’s Institute asking it to assist with a “bring and buy” afternoon which the sub-branch proposes to hold in August in aid of the building fund.
