FRANKLIN RACE MEETING.

The programme of the Franklin Racing Club's race meeting, which takes place at Pukekohe on Saturday, May 11, has been approved by the Auckland
District Committee. It comprises seven events and stake money amounts to £1195, including a gold cup valued at £SO. In addition, the president of the Waipapakauri racing club, Mr T. 11. Kenny, is donating a gold stop watch valued at 30 guineas, for the trainer of the winner of the big sprint, the Harrisville Flying handicap. The events are as follow: —
Trial Handicap, of £l2O, second horse £ls; third £5. Distance 6 furlongs. Rama Rama High Weight Handicap, of £135: second £25: third £lO. Distance 9 furlongs. Pukekawa Hack Handicap, of £120; second £ls; third £5. Distance 7 furlongs 22 yards. Massey Memorial Handicap, of £350 and gold cup valued £SO: second £4O; third £2O. Distance 1% miles. Franklin Stakes, of £120; second £ls: third £5. Distance 5 furlongs. Harrisville Flying Handicap, of £200; second £3O; third £lO. Distance 6
furlongs. Presidents Handicap of £150: second £2O; third £lO. Distance 7 furlongs 22 yards.
Special conditions apply to every race on the programme. Nominations close on Friday, April 26, at 5 weights are due to appear on Tuesday, April 30. Acceptances close on Friday, May 3, at 5 p.m.
