FRANKLIN PRIMARY SCHOOLS.
SPORTS CONCLUDED TO-DAY.
The Franklin Primary Schools first athletic sports ; which were -commenced on Thursday of last week, but which were postponed late in the afternoon owing to•' heavy' rain, were concluded this afternoon in beautiful weather. Concluding results are:-
Boys high jump, under 15 years: J. Carter (Buckland) 1, Mitchell (Paerata) 2. The winner jumped 4ft 23ns
Girls-high jump, under 12: Nancy Johns (Patumahoe) 1, Joyce Dazely and M. Warren ( both of Puni) equal 2.
Girls.high jump under 15 years: M. Pratt (Buckland) and L. Ruebe (Buckland) (equal) 1, G. Jeffs (Bombay) 3. Girls skipping race, under 12 years: M. Robinson (Pukekohe East) 1/Betty Gray (Buckland) 2, M. Warren (Puni), 3. '
Girls skipping race, under 15 years: M. Pratt (Buckland) 1, L. Ruebo (Buckland) 2, S. Harford (Pukekohe)
Girls and spoon race, under 12 years: J. Tuohey (Bombay) 1, H. Menzies(Mauku) 2, B. Coutts (Mauku),3. Girls egg and spoon race, under 15 years: M. Robinson (Pukekohe East) 1. L Ruebe (Buckland) 2, I. Collins (Mauku) 3.
