MOSGIEL INDUSTRIAL CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY

Mr D. Connor presided at the fiftyfirst half-yearly meeting of the Mosgiel Industrial Co-operative Society. The balance sheet and auditors’ report were adopted. The profit and loss account showed'a surplus for the six months of £317 9s 2d, but the committee decided to pay no. dividend. The Chairman stated that the Management Committee had made the decision not to pay. a dividend for the period under review, because it felt that the society would be put to considerable expense in the near future in providing a new bus, and some reserve should be put aside against this expense. At the election of office-bearers the chairman was re-elected for a further term; Mr A. Steven was elected secretary; Mr N. W. Crosbie, treasurer; and Messrs N. W. Crosbie, D. Connor, P. D. Rexon, and W. Roberts to the committee.
