DEATH OF A. F. HARDING
CELEBRATED ENGLISH FORWARD (P.A,) WELLINGTON, May 15. One of the few surviving members of Bedell-Sivright’s English (Rugby football team which visited New Zealand in 1904, and captain of the AngloAVelsh team which toured four years later, Arthur Flowers Harding died at Martinborough on AA 7 ednesday, aged 67. Dr A. B. O’Brien, who was manager and three-quarter on the 1904 tour and who now lives in Christchurch, said to-night that Harding was a very fine front row forward. His' death removed another of the few remaining members of the team, of whom he recalled as also having died in New Zealand, Dr P. F. McEvedy, of Wellington. Harding came to settle in New Zealand after the 1908 tour, and for many years managed a property for Mr E. Riddiford at Martinborough.
