V.A.D. Choir: The Voluntary Aid Choir will meet for practice at 144 London street on Wednesday, May 21, at 7.30 p.m. The choir has vacancies for singers in all sections, especially mezzosopranos and contraltos, and it is pointed out that it is not essential to he a V.A.D. 'before joining. Junior IRed Cross: This term over 250. new members have enrolled and much interest and activity are being shown by members in district high and country schools.- Donations of soft toys have, been received from Sandymount and Macandrew Bay circles and a case of knitted garments is ready for sending overseas. A letter of thanks for booklets sent by Kensington circle members has been received by the Primary Department, Leith Academy, Edinburgh, and these two schools are working on portfolios for interchange. Twenty-six girls have helped in the Citizen’s Day Nursery during this term and some boy juniors painted the small chairs and wooden toys for the little folks.
