BRAZILIAN ELECTED CHAIRMAN
(Rec. 11.35 a.m.) NEW YORK, April 28. Dr Oswald Aranha, former Brazilian Foreign Minister with 45 votes on the first count, was elected president of the special session of the United Nations Assembly, which war. convened today to consider the Palestine problem. Representatives of France, the United States, China, Russia. Ecuador, and India were elected as vice-presidents. New Zealand' and Australia received only one vote each.
