When the treaty copies were called for everyone looked blank. M. Bidault searched in his brief case and found the copy of his speech, but no treaty. Other brief cases on the table were searched, but still there was no treaty. Finally, the treaty came in through the back door after motor jycle police had been sent back towards Calais looking for the car in which the treaty was carried.
